Sustainable Business Network Good Food Award Finalists!

We are super excited to have made it to the final round in the Good Food category for the annual Sustainable Business Network awards. In all honesty, we are pretty darn busy running Yum on a day-to-day basis, and entering awards often isn’t on our radar as it takes a lot of time and energy. That aside, we have been inspired and following the SBN awards for a long time now and felt worthy enough to raise our hand. Not that we are perfect or ideal, but that we are doing our bit on a daily basis to hopefully inspire others. The SBN is an impressive organization in its own right that not only inspires change, but showcase sustainable practice and support businesses of all sizes. It is no exageration to say that at Yum, every decision of every day we strive to think about its impact and put sustainability at the heart of what we do.

This year has had its own challenges to say the least however in giving a voice to our ongoing sustainable actions to support other things aside from our bottom line, is something we feel strong about as we believe both that every little bit helps and we can all do more to consciously support each other and the planet. So, with that, we are definitely the underdogs when you see the other finalists in the Good Food category! We do help that more businesses take notice that the most important news isn’t always their new flavour but how they are supporting the communities (and planet) that support them (and beyond). Now more than ever, our planet needs our help and we are grateful Yum is giving us the ability to make a larger positive impact than we could have made as individuals.
