The Best Mango C Summer Smoothie!

I'm always searching for the perfect smoothie recipe. One that is fresh but not full of sugars. Actually, we try to eat as low in sugars as possible! I also like a lot of healthy fats and plant-based protein so a meal needs to last beyond the one hour mark, which is rare of most smoothies. It needs to fuel us for the day! This one does just that. The Best Mango C Summer Smoothie

Makes enough for 2

2 T hemp hearts

1 c. frozen mango

1/4 banana, preferably frozen

1/2 orange, peeled and roughly chopped

1/2 tsp Vitamin C powder (we use Be Pure)

1/2 c. coconut yoghurt

1/2 c. dessicated shredded coconut (alternatively 1/2 c. of grated carrot is amazing as well!)

2 T vanilla or other protein powder of your choice (optional but is a great addition)

1 c. water or plant-based milk

handful of ice cubes

Optional- 1 tsp local bee pollen


Blend all ingredients in whatever type of blender you have. We have a powerful little stick blender that does the trick but any will do. Enjoy!
